John Katende, Professor Edward Ssempebwa and Sim Katende have been recognized by Chambers and Partners Global Guide to the World’s Leading Law Firms (the most renowned legal directory in the world). Chambers released its’ global legal rankings on 15th February, 2019 stating:

Senior statesman John Katende is highly regarded in this market, with interviewees pointing to his “contribution to shaping legal practice over the years.” A founding partner at the firm, he is known for the breadth of his legal experience, spanning all aspects of corporate and commercial law.

Professor Edward Frederick Ssempebwa co-founded the firm, where he is now a senior partner. Market commentators hold him in high regard: “He commands respect because of the work he’s done over many years.” A skilled litigator, he is also known for his tax expertise.

The Publication noted that Clients enjoy working with the esteemed Sim Katende and describe him as “pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable on commercial matters.” He is experienced in banking and finance work, notably in the energy, oil and gas, and TMT arenas. Head of the corporate and commercial department, he is admitted to practice in both Uganda and the USA.
